The MD AUCMS is a pioneering AUCMS medical degree program, the first of its kind accorded by the university. The student will earns a Doctor Of Medicine - Allianze University College of Medical Sciences (MD - AUCMS) once they have completed the five years program.
The program consists of two phases:
Pre – Clinical Phase : Phase I (Basic Medical Sciences) and Phase 2 (Clinical Sciences) at the AUCMS campus in Kepala Batas for the first two and a half years (Semesters 1-5).
Clinical Phase: Phase 3 (Clinical clerkship posting) in hospital and community clinic affiliations for the next two and a half years .
*The clinical clerkship is divided into Junior Medical Clerkship (Semesters 6 – 8) and Senior Medical Clerkship (Semester 9 – 10).
Clinical years will be conducted through a network of teaching hospitals.
Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Minimum Band 4
and
Matriculation/Foundation in Science/Pre-Medical Course with minimum CGPA 3.00 each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
STPM with minimum minimum Grade B each in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (or Mathematics).
Diploma in Science or Diploma in Medical Science (provided the course is not less than 2 years in the same institution and accredited) with CGPA 3.50.
South Australia Matriculation with a minimum score 80% Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) or Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and 80% each in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B4 in each Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
International Baccalaureate (IB) with minimum 30 points in 2 science subjects at Higher Level (HL) and 1 subject at Standard Level (SL) and attained a minimum score of 4 each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
Canadian International Matriculation (CIMP) with attained average of 80% in each Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
Indian Pre-University with attained 70% in each Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics; or its equivalent
Phase 1 and Phase 2 continuous assessment (end of module examinations, quizzes, PBL / SGD participation, reflective writing, projects, punctuality) end of semester examination (one best answers questions - OBA, extended matching questions - EMQ, modified essay questions - MEQ, objective structured practical – OSPE or clinical examinations OSCE)
Phase 3 Performance in each posting, mid-posting written examination, over-all clinical competency assessment, end of posting examination (theoretical and clinical component - long case discussion for core posting and short case discussion for combined specialized posting). Attendance and attitude. Logbooks (cases handled)An integrated, comprehensive Final Professional examination is held at the end of Phase 3.
