Doctor of Medicine - Universitas Sumatera Utara (MD USU)
The twinning program consist of two phases:
Pre Clinical Years : Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia (3.5 years)
Clinical Years : AUCMS Campus, Penang, Malaysia (2 years)
Clinical years will be conducted through a network of teaching hospitals approved by Ministry Of Health (MOH), Malaysia:
- Hospital Tuanku Fauziah , Perlis
- Hospital langkawi , Kedah
- Hospital Kulim , Kedah
- Hospital Kepala Batas , Penang
- Hospital Baling , Kedah
- Hospital Taiping , Perak
Academic Qualifications for entry
- Foundation in Medical Studies (AUCMS) with minimum CGPA 3.00
- STPM
- Cambridge A-Level
- Singapore GCE A-Level
- Local Matriculation (MOE) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Diploma in Sciences (IPTA) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- South Australia Matriculation (SAM) with minimum UA score 70%
- Australia Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum score 70%
- New South Wales Higher School Certificate (HSC) with minimum UA score 75%
- Canadian Pre University with minimum score of 70% in Science Subjects
- International Baccaulaurette Ontario (IBO) Canada with minimum Band 6
- Sekolah Menengah Umum , Indonesia & all High Schools (except - Madsarah Aliyah or similar) with average score of 8.5 and above

Course assessments will be based on a combination of the following :
- Student presentations
- Multiple choice tests
- Oral Examination
- Clinical attendance and reports
- Practical attendance and reports
- E-Learning
Your assessments will be contribute towards your final examination results at the end of every year. Your final examinations for pre-clinical subjects will include easy papers, multiple choice tests, practical assessment and oral examinations.
